Condition of posters
For posters, especially older sheets, a different standard is applied when assessing the condition than is usually the case with printmaking. For this reason, the condition is still referred to as “A” even if the sheet has, for example, small creases, minimal dirt or small tears outside the representation.

A = poster in good condition. Fully preserved image. Wrinkles and small tears at most in the edge.
B = full poster image. Wrinkles and cracks possible.
C = poster restored.
aJ = On Japanese paper.
aL = Put on linen.
aF = Mounted on foil.
